Nicky is one of the GISPA* students I’m lucky to work with and support.
Nicky’s currently competing in a CBC Music competition and could use your vote. But first, watch this sixteen year old Salt Spring Island musician recording her song. Then come back here to VOTE for Nicky at CBC by February 27 (!)

Or pieces actually. It looks like Peter McFarlane had some fun with this project. This repurposed air-conditioner condensers progression piece is approximately eight feet wide*.
And is probably hard to see on your viewing device (especially phones!). So here’s a crop of the far right portion:
* the photo can actually be printed eight feet wide
It’s not their first kick at the can. GISS has been in the top 20 Canadian teams a disproportionate number of times. They placed first in the Vancouver Island finals again this year and will head to Ottawa to compete with 19 other winning teams.
Meet the team and see how the fundraising’s going (it’s a long way to Ottawa from Salt Spring Island).
* to those new to this site, I support the performing arts students and staff at GISS as my business cause (including Improv, GISPA, music, dance and theatre/drama)
* while the Mountie’s not part of the team, he came to support the Canadian theme; well done, RCMP!
