This photo was taken from the pier 30 minutes before the image shown yesterday. The angle is roughly the same, but the colour is much different. Like the image yesterday, no post processing to adjust colour was done—this is what I saw and what came out of the camera (Pentaz 645Z, medium format digital).
5:30 a.m. A typically gorgeous 2017 early summer morning scene on the Island.
The sky and reflection have lost most of the intense blue twilight colour seen thirty minutes earlier. The warmer pink and orange now signal the beginnings of the sunrise.
Some would say this is about as wild as life gets on Salt Spring Island.
This guy and his pals tend to hang out near the office window in hopes of free portrait sessions.
