Early May in Strathcona Provincial Park: Lupin Falls is probably the best little trail we’ve stumbled upon. It’s a short, but magical trip though old growth forest. Highly recommended.
Eight years ago, Sandcut Beach was known mainly to locals and visitors who stayed at area cottages. In 2010 it was officially established by the CRD.
A short walk through the forest, along a trail, boardwalk and down a set of stairs leads to Sandcut Beach, a long cobble shore along the Juan de Fuca Strait. This day-use area is a longtime favourite of locals. —CRD
