This image of a stunning day at Long Beach has been added to the Prints page.
The Salish Eagle‘s first scheduled run to/from Saltspring Island. The ship sports Coast Salish artist John Marston’s stunning red eagle drawings.
In the image above, the Eagle has left its first stop at Otter Bay, Pender Island and is heading towards Mayne Island and Active Pass.
The Eagle will be joined in the Southern Gulf Islands – Tsawwassen runs by sistership Raven this fall. The Salish class vessels seem bight, spacious and very quiet…compared to the Queen of Nanaimo.
The new natural gas powered vessels each carry aproximately 138 cars and up to 600 passengers and crew.
